This comes at such an appropriate time for me. I have always struggled with the expectations that come as a result of being a writer who is a Christian and who writes for the secular market. It all boils down to this: I believe that God is honored by how I use the gifts He’s given me. A well-told story with characters that relate to ALL walks of life is my goal. In such a story, I think God can make an appearance, even if His name is never mentioned.
I am NOT what I write. I write murder and intrigue and psychotic breaks and medieval kingdoms and dragons and superpowers.
I AM what I write. I write sin and redemption. I write depravity and healing. I write temptation and strength.
Thanks, Foy, for such a thoughtful post!
